Rantz: Trump calls out Antifa as terrorists—Democrats pretend they don’t exist. Here’s why.

President Donald Trump issued an executive order this week that finally designates Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. Predictably, Democrats are still pretending Antifa doesn’t exist, a strategy decision meant to undermine the president and justify and embolden the left-wing violence being carried out in their name.
The order is blunt and unambiguous: “Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law. It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals.”
The order details Antifa’s tactics, including armed standoffs, coordinated riots, violent assaults on law enforcement, and the doxing and intimidation of political opponents. It concludes that “this organized effort designed to achieve policy objectives by coercion and intimidation is domestic terrorism.”
Yes, Antifa is real
That’s not an opinion. That’s a statement of fact.
And yet the professional gaslighters in the Democratic Party immediately mocked Trump for acknowledging reality. Congressman Daniel Goldman sneered on: “Name one member of ‘Antifa.’ If it ‘explicitly’ calls for the overthrow of the USG, where can I find that statement? Trump is trying to suppress opposition by labeling anyone who dissents as a ‘domestic terrorist.’ Do not be fooled: This is lawless and unconstitutional.” Congressman Eric Swalwell piled on X: “This group ‘Antifa’… are they in the room with you right now, Mr. President?”
This is not wit. It’s willful dishonesty.
Antifa exists. I’ve infiltrated their mobs in Seattle and Tacoma. I’ve seen the black-bloc militants chanting “Antifa” as they smash windows, torch cars, and attack cops. They wave flags and wear patches that say “Antifa.” I’ve been targeted by their online scouts, outed to a crowd eager to “find” me. I’ve watched as they organized the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, turning six blocks of Seattle into a violent encampment guarded by armed radicals. These aren’t figments of the imagination—they are dangerous extremists who thrive when Democrats pretend they don’t exist.
And when lawmakers like Swalwell and Goldman deny Antifa’s existence, they’re not just being snarky—they’re offering cover for violence. By pretending Antifa is a ghost story invented by Republicans, they justify the chaos. They send a signal to the radical base that political violence is acceptable if it’s dressed up as “anti-fascism.”
How much more proof do you need?
Need more proof? Just look south to San Diego, California. A federal judge sentenced Antifa militants to up to two years in prison for coordinated violence at a 2021 protest. Prosecutors laid out how these self-described “anti-fascists” wore black-bloc uniforms, carried weapons, and systematically attacked people they identified as Trump supporters. It was not random. It was organized, planned, and executed with precision. That’s not free speech—it’s domestic terrorism.
In my book What’s Killing America, I explain how Antifa thrives in Democrat-run cities because leaders won’t admit what’s happening on their watch. They brand riots as “mostly peaceful protests,” allowing Antifa to recruit, radicalize, and terrorize without consequence.
City councils justify violence, activist groups provide legal and PR cover, and the media downplays the destruction. When the Left tells you Antifa is a myth, it’s because they don’t want accountability for the radical foot soldiers they’ve unleashed. If a group of white supremacists got together, terrorized communities, and self-identified as members of a group, does anyone reasonably think Democrats and their media allies wouldn’t immediately label them as terrorists?
Strategically lying
The denial is a strategy. The Left knows Antifa is real. They rely on the group’s intimidation tactics to silence dissent, shut down conservative speakers, and cow law enforcement. That’s why Swalwell and Goldman mock Trump instead of grappling with the evidence. Their sneers aren’t clever—they’re a defense mechanism.
Americans deserve the truth: Antifa is not a conspiracy theory. They’re an organized network of radicals who use violence to achieve political ends. Trump is right to designate them as domestic terrorists. The only people denying this reality are politicians desperate to keep their violent army of useful idiots on standby.
The executive order doesn’t criminalize dissent. It doesn’t punish peaceful protest. It goes after organized extremists who burn, loot, and assault to achieve political goals. If you think that’s “unconstitutional,” you’re either lying or dangerously ignorant. Or perhaps, you’re merely a progressive Democrat.
